Were you aware of the following?
In 1876 an ammendment to the constitution was proposed to abolish the United States Senate. It failed.
The U.S. Constitution originally required, for good reason of checks and balances, that senators be appointed by the legislatures of each state. In 1913 the XVII Amendment changed that and provides that senators be elected directly by the people. It’s no wonder special interest spending has increased so much.
In 1933 an amendment was proposed to limit personal wealth to one million dollars. It fortunately failed.
In 1947 an amendment was proposed that income tax on individuals should not exceed 25%. It unfortunately failed. I guess one fourth of your income was not going to be enough and they knew it in 1947.
Don’t ever think that there are not people who are seeking to take your freedom and enslave you in socialism and/or marxism. The words democratic socialism, social justice, social welfare, etc. should scare the heck out of you. As should phrases like “workers of the world unite”. All of these go against the concept of individual liberty, equal opportunity, and the survival of the United States as we have known it. Remember when____.
Say no to socialism. Say yes to individual freedom and equal opportunity for all. Defend the U.S. Constitution with your voice and your vote. Throw out every elected official, regardless of party, that supports principles or programs that conflict with the constitution. And let’s make them cut spending until the debt is paid; no new taxes (no matter how well they hide them or who they demonize so they can get support to impose them) to pay for their reckless spending.
That government is best that governs least.
